Synopsis: Kris and her partner, ruggedly charming and masculine, have a wild setup. They make no demands and have no conditions and live a life that is mostly about the seeking and living out of animalistic passion. But their setup is poisonous and unreal. Like some of the apartment satirical novels of yore, this one offers two women caricatured in bad taste and bad sense. Their untrammeled freedom becomes a cage that, toward the end of the book, comes off as a cruel joke.
